Description:
At 45 stories and 486 feet high, these two buildings pioneered the use of wind tunnel technology in Florida and at time of construction were the tallest beach front buildings in the state. The structure of the towers is reinforced concrete shearwalls, columns and slabs crowned by a concrete clad steel structure. It is supported on a foundation system based on ninety five feet long augercast piles. The parking structure is partially pre-cast pre-stressed system which also includes one level under flood criteria supported by a 32” concrete mat.
